Let’s find your perfect location
Here are a few of my favorite locations to take photographs. All of these locations are free and easy to access. If you have another place in mind, let me know! I am always excited to explore a new location.
Turkey Run Park
Seatonville Road, Louisville, KY 40299
Turkey Run Park is a wonderful location with lots of variety. There is a lookout area that is perfect for portraits, but it is a slight walk. There is a beautiful wooded pond, then in another area is the a field with the popular yellow silo and black barn.
Beckley Creek Park
1411 Beckley Creek Pkwy, Louisville, KY 40245
Beckley Creek Park, much like Turkey Run, has a ton of variety. Tons of open fields, several with flowers during certain times of the year. There is a creek that is fairly easy to access, as well as a pond with a wooden bridge that goes over it. There is some walking involved, but it is flat and easy walks. There is also an easy to access barn, with fences.
Falls of the Ohio State Park
201 W Riverside Dr. Clarksville, IN 47129
Falls of the Ohio is a super fun and beautiful location. The level of the Ohio River does play a large role on how much we are able to access. If low enough, the rocky shore is exposed and can be accessed. There are grassy areas with views of downtown Louisville.
Big Four Bridge and Downtown Jeffersonville
200-298 W Market St, Jeffersonville, IN 47130
The Big Four Bridge with downtown Jeffersonville in walking distance, provides a unique location if you’re looking for images with less nature and more structures. The Bridge can be very busy, but with some luck and photoshop, we can make it appear empty.
Riverside, The Farnsley Moremen Landing
7410 Moorman Rd, Louisville, KY 40272
While there is not a variety in this location, in my opinion, it is ideal for family photos. Especially if its a large family, or a family with small children. It is beautiful, and very open, and the view across the river is beautiful!
The Brown Hotel
335 W Broadway, Louisville, KY 40202
Such a romantic location! The Brown Hotel very dreamy with several different areas that we can have access too, as long as there is no evens going on. This does include their rooftop! I do need to fill out an access form and get approval before we go, so this location does need some planning. But once you tell me, this is what you want, I will take care of it all! Plus, with it being in the middle of downtown, we can easily go take additional there as well.
Papa Johns Park
Bluegrass Pkwy, Jeffersontown, KY 40299
After we have had some rain, there is an awesome waterfall that makes such a fun backdrop. But even when its been dry out, Papa Johns Park has several other spots that make a great backdrop. There is a large pond with a great bridge, a wooded walking trail, and several other walkways that are ideal.
Huber’s Orchard and Winery
19816 Huber Rd, Borden, IN 47106
Huber’s is perfect if you are wanting photos in sunflowers or pumpkins! When we go, we will take the U-Pick tractors out to the fields, and can access different fields and orchards. It can be extremely busy and they do close before sunset, so those are two things you will want to keep in mind when making your decision.
